Glenmorangie The Nectar 16 Year Old is a premium Highland single malt Scotch whisky that represents an elevated version of the original Nectar D'Or. This award-winning expression is aged for 14 years in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for an additional 2 years in a carefully selected combination of sweet white wine casks including French Sauternes and Monbazillac, Spanish Moscatel, and Hungarian Tokaji. Bottled at 46% ABV.

The aroma is rich and decadent with notes of baking brioche, leesy wine, baked apricot, vanilla pudding, toasted almond, and chestnuts. On the palate, expect an unctuous and sticky texture balanced by bright lemon zestiness, with flavors of vanilla custard, baked apricots, raisin bread, roasted chestnuts, nutmeg, and star anise supported by an oaky backbone. The finish is long and lingering with lemon rind, baking bread, and a touch of honeycomb.

Glenmorangie distillery was established in 1843 by brothers William and John Matheson on the site of a former brewery along the Dornoch Firth in the Scottish Highlands. The name Glenmorangie translates to "Glen of Tranquility."
