Rabbit Hole Mizunara Cask Finish 15 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a rare, limited edition expression from Rabbit Hole Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. This exceptional bourbon begins its journey aged in new American oak barrels before finishing in rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks sourced from Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost island. The result is a whiskey that bridges Eastern and Western traditions in a distinctive, globally inspired release bottled at cask strength (114.2 proof / 51.9% ABV).

The mashbill is composed of 78.5% corn, 13% rye, and 8.5% malted barley — a culinary-inspired grain selection that forms the foundation of Rabbit Hole's signature style. Mizunara oak is among the rarest wood in the world, requiring 200 to 500 years to reach maturity and only workable by the most skilled master coopers. Its more porous nature imparts uniquely delicate flavors not achievable with American or European oak.

On the nose, expect nutmeg, allspice, walnut, leather, mint, honey, and orange. The palate delivers layers of confectionery richness — custard, banana, and cinnamon — while the finish fades through floral notes into dark cherry and lingering chocolate.
