The wine draws inspiration from iconic cool-region styles like Sancerre and Marlborough, offering a fresh, nuanced perspective that breaks from typical warm-climate California expressions.

On the nose, expect salty citrus and crushed herbs layered with lime zest, coriander, cucumber, and passion fruit, with a mineral edge and subtle floral spice. The palate delivers explosive freshness with texture and complexity — salty citrus leads, followed by earthy green herbal notes balanced by melon and peach, all framed by mouthwatering minerality. Fermented entirely in stainless steel and aged five months on fine lees with no malolactic fermentation, the wine retains vivid acidity and a stony, focused character. Alcohol is 14.2%. The blend draws from vines ranging from 3 to 32 years old, farmed using SIP Certified Sustainable practices.

A portion of the blend comes from a single block originally planted in 1973 — old own-rooted Gamay Noir vines grafted over to Sauvignon Blanc in the early 1980s. The Musqué Clone adds a delightful floral lift, while ENTAV Clone 530 from the Loire Valley contributes structure and freshness. The 2024 vintage earned 94 points from Wine Enthusiast.
