The set features exceptional attention to detail including a working viewfinder with transparent glass that refracts light to create a vintage look, an exposure compensation dial with authentic graphics applied via stickers, the iconic Polaroid Color Spectrum design, and an accessory port at the top. The camera uses smooth curved pieces and angled elements to capture the metallic surface texture while minimizing exposed studs, with the glossy black and white color scheme matching the original camera's aesthetic.

A functional play feature allows you to load a buildable Polaroid Time-Zero Supercolor SX-70 Land Film pack into the camera and eject the three included illustrated photos by pressing the red shutter button. The mechanism uses Technic pieces, elastic bands, and rubber elements in the bright colors of the Polaroid logo including Medium Azure, Lime, Yellow, Orange, and Dark Pink. The printed photos feature Edwin H. Land (Polaroid's inventor), La Rochelle harbor, and the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark. The film is made of flexible plastic card stock to prevent scratching, and fans can create custom printed photos on card stock to personalize their camera.

The dense build weighs 502 grams despite its compact size, with interior details showcasing vibrant Polaroid brand colors that contrast beautifully against the black exterior. The camera can be opened and closed to load film, features a customizable model number (choose between "1000" or "OneStep" stickers), and includes many rare Technic pieces in unique colors.
