Giulio de Medici Chianti Classico Riserva is a robust Italian red wine produced in the Chianti Classico DOCG zone of Tuscany by Castelli del Grevepesa. The wine pays homage to Giulio de' Medici, the Florentine nobleman who became Pope Clement VII in 1523, and is part of the winery's celebrated Clemente VII range.

Crafted from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown at approximately 200 meters above sea level with west-southwest sun exposure, this Riserva is aged for two years in Slavonian oak casks. The result is a wine showing dark fruit character with a well-structured tannic backbone that is already drinking beautifully. It is an approachable yet serious expression of Chianti Classico at a remarkable value. This wine pairs especially well with Stracotto di Manzo (Italian pot roast) and other hearty braised meat dishes.
