Unlike most rums made from molasses, Rhum Barbancourt is produced entirely from 100% fresh sugar cane juice using a double-distillation process in copper pot stills inspired by Cognac tradition. The spirit is then aged for 8 years in French Limousin oak barrels, resulting in a refined and complex character.
