Kir-Yianni Akakies Sparkling Rosé is a celebrated Greek sparkling wine crafted from 100% Xinomavro grapes grown in the PDO Amyndeon region of Northern Greece. The vineyards are situated in the Agios Panteleimonas zone at over 600 meters above sea level, featuring distinctive sandy soils that lend the wine its signature character. It is one of the only Greek-controlled designations of origin for sparkling rosés.

The wine pours a bright, rich pink color with persistent, lively bubbles. On the nose, it is intensely fruit-forward with aromas of wild strawberry, white-fleshed cherry, and tomato — classic expressions of the Xinomavro grape. On the palate, it offers vibrant acidity balanced by a delicate touch of sweetness (18.7 g/L residual sugar), finishing clean and refreshing. Alcohol content is 12% ABV.

Production begins with hand-harvested grapes that undergo first fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures with fine lees stirring, followed by a second fermentation in closed tanks to develop natural carbonation. This méthode charmat-style approach preserves the wine's fresh fruit character. The wine has earned international recognition including Gold at the Sakura Wine Awards (2024).

Pairs beautifully with Mediterranean dishes, seafood, fatty fish, salads, and light appetizers. Also excellent as an aperitif or with light desserts.
