400 Conejos Tobalá Mezcal is an artisanal mezcal produced in the Oaxacan towns of Santiago Matatlán and Yautepec, Mexico. This expression is a carefully crafted blend of two agave varieties — Espadín (Agave angustifolia) and Tobalá (Agave potatorum) — grown in the renowned agave-producing state of Oaxaca. The brand name draws from ancient Mesoamerican tradition, referencing the belief that agave spirits were occupied by 400 rabbits, each with its own personality capable of influencing the drinker.

This joven (unaged) ensamble mezcal is produced using traditional tahona stone grinding and copper pot distillation, carrying forward centuries-old craft techniques. On the nose, it presents bright citrus and orange blossom aromas alongside subtle mesquite and fruity notes. The palate delivers a balanced combination of citrus, herbal character, and green fruits, lifted by the natural smokiness of the traditionally cooked agave.
