The Benmar Sand Dune Chardonnay is a 2023 vintage Oregon Chardonnay sourced from organic hillside vineyards in the Dundee Hills and Eola-Amity Hills AVAs of the Willamette Valley. It is crafted by winemaker Greg Bybee of Benmar, a small family-driven winery committed to low-intervention, hand-selected fruit winemaking. The wine earned 94 points from Decanter, representing exceptional quality and value.

On the nose, the wine offers delicate aromas of ripe pear, juicy apple, and citrus zest, mingling with subtle notes of toasted almond, vanilla, and a hint of minerality. The palate is a harmonious blend of bright fruit flavors with a creamy texture and refreshing acidity — featuring notes of lemon curd, white peach, orange peel, lemon verbena, and a touch of hazelnut. The finish is long and elegant, with a lingering impression of minerality and subtle oak spice. Benmar's philosophy strikes a deliberate balance between the opulent, heavily oaked California style and the lean, flinty elegance of White Burgundy.
