Folktale Winery Brut Sparkling NV Monterey is a case of twelve 750mL bottles of California sparkling wine crafted in Carmel Valley by Folktale Winery & Vineyards, a winery originally founded in 1982 as Chateau Julien Wine Estate and reimagined in 2015 under winemaker Gregory Ahn.

The wine is a limited-production blend of approximately 85% Chardonnay sourced equally from Monterey and Mendocino counties, with Sauvignon Blanc from Mendocino adding bright acidity and grapefruit notes, and Gewürztraminer from Monterey contributing beautiful floral aromatics. The sparkling character is achieved through the crémant method in stainless steel tanks, targeting a softer effervescence similar in texture to Prosecco or frizzante style — ideal for outdoor entertaining. The palate opens with green apple, banana, lemon, and tropical kiwi, developing into peach and bright citrus, with a clean mineral finish from the Monterey fruit.
