New Riff 8 Year Old Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is a landmark release from New Riff Distilling, founded in 2014 in Newport, Kentucky. This expression represents the first older release of their acclaimed flagship rye, carefully set back for long-term aging from the distillery's earliest production years. It is bottled without chill filtration at 100 proof (50% Alc/Vol) and aged a minimum of 8 years.

The whiskey is crafted from a distinctive mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted rye, made using the full sour mash Kentucky Regimen. While it meets all requirements of a bonded whiskey, the release blends whiskeys from two distilling seasons to enable wider distribution. It is presented in a 750ML bottle as part of New Riff's core lineup.

Tasting notes reveal a medium amber appearance with golden highlights. The nose is rounded and ripe with rye grass, cinnamon, clove, and red apple. On the palate, it offers a fulsome medium body with a drying entry, lightly oaky character, and a sweeter core that develops into an intense midpalate of spearmint, clove, and apple with an aged grassy-mineral quality. The finish is long-lasting with notes of clove, mint, and peppercorn.
