Fresh San Marzano tomatoes, a prized Italian plum tomato variety known for their elongated, cylindrical shape with a pointed tip. San Marzano tomatoes are distinct in having only two seed chambers compared to four or five in typical commercial varieties, resulting in fewer seeds and lower moisture content for a meatier texture.
