Force & Grace 2022 Carneros Chardonnay is a California white wine sourced from the prestigious Carneros AVA, an area spanning both the Sonoma and Napa regions known as "Napa's Burgundy" for its cooling fog and breezes from nearby San Pablo Bay. This 750ml bottle is crafted by acclaimed winemaker Jean Hoefliger and produced under the label founded by Joseph Carr, also known for Josh Cellars.

The wine boasts an aromatic nose of crisp apples, ripe melon, and sweet citrus. On the palate, bright flavors of lemon and Fuyu persimmons emerge with an edge of stony minerality. Oak aging contributes complex notes of vanilla, brioche, toasted coconut, and hints of cinnamon, all wrapped in a wonderfully rich texture balanced by fresh acidity. The wine is 14.3% ABV and has earned 93 points from critic Jonathan Cristaldi.

The fruit is hand-picked at night and whole clusters are gently pressed to minimize extraction of harsh phenolics. Approximately 80-90% of the fruit is fermented in oak barrels while the remaining 10-20% is fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness. About 75% completes malolactic conversion, and the wine ages for 8 months in 100% French oak barrels with lees-stirring for added complexity and viscosity. Pairs well with high-fat cheeses, shellfish, and creamy dishes.
