Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame is one of the most prestigious champagnes from the renowned Champagne House founded in 1772. This exceptional brut champagne is crafted from 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay sourced from eight Grand Cru villages in the Champagne region of France. The Pinot Noir comes primarily from Verzy and Verzenay, as well as Aÿ, Bouzy and Ambonnay, while the Chardonnay is sourced mainly from Avize and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, with a small portion from Oger.

The 2015 vintage showcases elegance and precision with fresh minerality and light floral notes of jasmine and acacia on the nose, evolving into fruity aromas of pear, clementine, green apples, lemon peel, lime blossom, salted almonds and pastries. On the palate, fleshy orange, red pear, dried pineapple and chewy grapefruit peel build on a firmly structured frame, with a suppleness of nougat and acacia honey in the middle. The wine is medium-bodied and refreshing with lively acidity throughout and tiny bubbles. The dosage is 6 g/L, contributing to its refined balance.

Named in honor of Madame Clicquot, who became one of the first businesswomen in history when she took over the House in 1805, La Grande Dame represents the highest expression of the Veuve Clicquot style. The 2015 vintage has received outstanding critical acclaim, including 95 points from Wine Spectator and Antonio Galloni, and 99 points from Bettane & Desseauve Guide. This graceful champagne is recommended for drinking between 2023-2033.
