Brughelli Chardonnay is a small-production, artisan California white wine crafted by winemaker Michael Brughelli from his eponymous label, founded in 2018 and based in Santa Maria Valley on California's Central Coast. Made from the Mt. Eden clone of Chardonnay, the grapes are harvested early from a high hillside vineyard and whole-cluster pressed cold to preserve natural freshness and delicate aromatics.

The wine undergoes native fermentation in barrel with meticulous daily management, then ages for a total of 20 months — 18 months in large-format barrels followed by 2 months in stainless steel. It rests on the lees throughout with minimal stirring, and undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation for added texture without sacrificing vibrancy. Only approximately 200 cases of Chardonnay are produced per year, making this a rare and highly allocated wine.

On the nose, the wine opens with elegant aromas of lime zest, white nectarine, stony minerality, and brioche. On the palate it is balanced and alive, with a soft, lush texture, mouthwatering acidity, and a long, lingering finish. It pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, roasted poultry, creamy pasta, and soft cheeses.
