Les Héritiers Saint-Genys Mercurey Blanc 1er Cru 'Clos Marcilly' Monopole is a prestigious white Burgundy from the Côte Chalonnaise sub-region, crafted entirely from Chardonnay grapes. The estate, based in Chassagne-Montrachet, acquired the Clos Marcilly vineyard in 2011 and has since farmed it as a monopole — a walled Premier Cru vineyard that is exclusively owned and controlled by a single producer. Clos Marcilly is one of the original five Premier Cru vineyards in Mercurey, designated in 1943, and spans approximately 7.5 hectares (18 acres) on a gentle, southeast-facing slope just north of the hamlet of Étroyes.

The wine exhibits an expansive nose with a wide spectrum of aromas, from fresh pineapple to tarragon, with stunning concentration and elegant flinty freshness. The rich yet precise mouthfeel and intense long finish reflect the terroir-driven character expected of a top Premier Cru white Burgundy. James Suckling awarded this wine 95 points, noting its remarkable balance and Grand Cru-level quality.
