San Salvatore Vetere Rosato is a certified organic rosé wine from the Campania region of southern Italy, produced by the renowned San Salvatore 1988 winery near the ancient archaeological park of Paestum in the Cilento National Park. Crafted entirely from 100% Aglianico grapes grown in volcanic soils under the IGP Paestum designation, this limited edition wine represents a meeting of ancient winemaking tradition and modern technique in one of Italy's most storied wine regions.
The wine presents a brilliant cherry pink color with bright coral nuances. On the nose it offers intense notes of fresh red fruits — strawberries, raspberries, and maraschino cherry — accented by delicate floral hints and a faint spicy note. On the palate, the taste is elegant, fresh, and persistent, with a vibrant acidity that perfectly balances the fruit and leads to a long, satisfying finish. Grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, then gently vinified with brief macerations before fermenting in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, with six months aging on the lees prior to release.
Best served chilled between 10–12°C, this versatile rosé pairs beautifully with appetizers, seafood, light Mediterranean cuisine, white meats, vegetarian dishes, and fresh cheeses, and is equally enjoyable as a standalone aperitif. Sold in a case of 12 bottles, each 750mL. 11.5% ABV. Consume within 2 years of harvest.
