The Alder & Oak Leyland Cypress is a fast-growing evergreen tree ideal for creating natural privacy screens, hedgerows, and windbreaks. Capable of growing 3 to 5 feet annually, it fills in quickly to form a lush, dense green barrier that stays vibrant year-round.

Each tree ships at 24 to 36 inches tall (excluding the container) and is approximately 2 to 3 years old at time of shipment. At maturity, Leyland Cypress trees reach 40 to 60 feet tall with a spread of 20 to 25 feet. The naturally upright, columnar growth habit keeps the tree neat with minimal pruning. It thrives in USDA Hardiness Zones 6 through 10 and tolerates both full sun and partial shade with regular watering.

To plant, dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, backfill with amended soil, and ensure the root ball remains visible above the soil line. Water deeply after planting to settle the soil. Yellow or dropping leaves are signs of overwatering or poor drainage. The tree may arrive recently pruned to promote healthy, uniform growth.
