Monkeynaut was the first beer Straight to Ale commercially produced, back in 2009, and it went on to be named the best beer in Alabama by RateBeer in 2019. The beer is a tribute to the primate pioneers — Albert, Able, Gordo, Miss Baker, Bonny, Goliath, and others — who bravely went to space between 1948 and 1961, paving the way for manned U.S. spaceflight.

At 7.25% ABV and 75 IBUs, Monkeynaut delivers a citrusy, floral hop aroma from dry-hopping with Centennial hops, a strong malt body, and a crisp, clean finish. Pairs well with spicy dishes like curry or jerk chicken. Best served at 50–55°F.
