Domaine Bott-Geyl Riesling Schoenenbourg Grand Cru is a prestigious dry white wine from the Alsace region of France. Produced by the family estate of Domaine Bott-Geyl — founded in 1775 and currently led by Jean-Christophe Bott in Beblenheim, Alsace — this wine originates from the highly regarded Schoenenbourg Grand Cru vineyard in the commune of Riquewihr. Made entirely from Riesling grapes, it carries the AOC Alsace Grand Cru Schoenenbourg appellation, one of the most prestigious designations in French viticulture.
The Schoenenbourg vineyard's limestone-marl soils lend the wine its signature mineral character. Grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperatures, then aged on the lees for several months before bottling. The resulting wine is straw yellow in color, with aromas of lemon, grapefruit, white peach, acacia flowers, and flint. On the palate it is vivacious and fresh, with vibrant acidity, pronounced minerality, and a long, structured finish.
At 13.5% ABV, this Riesling is best served chilled at 8–10°C. It pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, fish dishes, white meats, and spicy cuisine. With its excellent acid structure, it can be enjoyed young or cellared for up to 25 years.
