Wild Turkey 101 8-Year-Old Bourbon is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that pays homage to the original Wild Turkey 101, which was famously bottled after eight years of aging. Crafted by legendary Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and rooted in a time-tested recipe, this exquisite bourbon is the result of utilizing hand-picked, small batch bourbons that have been aged a minimum of 8 years. The barrels are hand-selected for their characteristics and complex flavor profiles.

The longer maturation of the 8-Year-Old 101 enhances the bourbon's profile for a remarkable serving neat or on the rocks. It features refined notes of vanilla, clove, toffee, charred oak, lemon zest and black cherry on the palate, with an aroma of caramel, roasted nuts, citrus peel and sweet oak. The finish is long and lingering with brown sugar, dried fruit, vanilla and allspice. Compared to the standard Wild Turkey 101 offering that is made using a blend of 6- to 8-year-old bourbons, the 8-Year-Old is blended from a smaller batch of barrels resulting in a more mature and rich expression.

Wild Turkey is distilled and put into new oak barrels at a much lower ABV than most bourbons, resulting in a much richer flavor. The bourbon ages in the highest quality new American oak barrels with the heaviest char available, the Number 4 "alligator" char, which imparts a smooth flavor and deep amber color to the whiskey. Distilled and bottled in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, USA at 101 proof (50.5% alcohol by volume).
