Redemption The Ancients Collection 18 Year Old Rye Whiskey is an extremely limited release and a piece of American distilling history. Part of Redemption's prestigious Ancients collection, this 95% rye mash bill whiskey was barreled in 1998 at the historic Seagram's distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, then aged for 18 years in Bardstown, Kentucky. Bottled at cask strength (109.9 proof / 54.95% ABV), only 600 bottles were produced, each hand numbered to reflect its batch and bottle.

The nose offers cedar, dark chocolate, rich baking spices, baked apple, peaches, caramel, and maple with subtle herbal notes of tarragon and sage. On the palate, expect baked apple pie, warming spice, almonds, maple, caramel, orange zest, and notes of charred oak. The finish is long and smooth with pears and bright fruit brought on by its cask-strength heat, trailing into smoky toffee.
