Wente Vineyards Riva Ranch Rosé of Pinot Noir is a dry California rosé sourced from the estate's historic Riva Ranch vineyard in the Arroyo Seco AVA of Monterey County. The vineyard was first planted in 1961 by Karl L. Wente, who recognized the region's exceptional terroir — shale and limestone soils, cool Pacific breezes, and an extended growing season ideal for Pinot Noir. The result is smaller, more concentrated berries that translate into a wine of depth and vibrancy.
This pale pink rosé opens with aromas of apricot, tangerine, peach, and light floral notes. On the palate it delivers flavors of fresh melon, cherry, and orange sorbet, supported by bright, refreshing acidity and a clean, lingering finish. It is crafted entirely from Pinot Noir grapes using a gentle winemaking approach that preserves the fruit's natural elegance.
Wente Vineyards, founded in 1883 in the Livermore Valley by C.H. Wente, is the oldest continuously operating family-owned winery in the United States, now in its fifth generation. The Riva Ranch series represents the family's flagship estate vineyard program in Monterey County. Each bottle is 750ml and sold as a case of 12.
