BenRiach The Twenty One is a 21-year-old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the BenRiach Distillery, founded in 1898 near Elgin in the heart of Scotland's Speyside region. Bottled at 46% ABV in a 700mL bottle, this expression represents one of the distillery's most prestigious aged releases and is non-chill filtered to preserve its natural character.

The Twenty One is crafted from a combination of four distinct cask types: American oak bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks, Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, and red wine casks. This multi-cask maturation approach creates exceptional complexity, with the bourbon barrels contributing vanilla and caramel, the virgin oak adding spice and structure, the PX Sherry casks imparting rich dried fruit and chocolate, and the red wine casks lending a subtle fruitiness and depth.

On the nose, the whisky delivers spiced fruit punch with warming oak in the background and hints of zesty tropical fruit. The palate is rich and layered, with Sherry cask influence taking prominence — milk chocolate and lemon zest develop at its core alongside buttery shortbread. The finish is lengthy, boasting caramel and rye bread notes. BenRiach The Twenty One earned a Gold Medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in the Scotch Single Malt Speyside category.
