Sabroso Red Blend is a California Central Coast wine crafted by Vinos Finos de California from old-vine, organically farmed grapes sourced from overlooked vineyards in the cool coastal mountains and valleys surrounding Monterey Bay. This expressive red blend celebrates sunshine, soil, and hard work, made with minimal intervention and a philosophy of transparency in the glass.

The wine is a blend of Grenache, Cabernet Pfeffer, and Zinfandel drawn from historic vineyards including the legendary Ventana Vineyard in Arroyo Seco and own-rooted old vines at Enz Vineyard in Lime Kiln Valley and Joullian Vineyard in Carmel Valley. All fermentations are spontaneous using whole-cluster foot-tread techniques with only minimal effective sulfur additions. Aromas of dark cherry, ripe strawberry, crushed black plum, dried meats, and light sandalwood lead into a palate of baking spice, wild berries, and a gentle floral note reminiscent of hibiscus. The wine is juicy yet controlled, with bright natural acidity and an elegant, leathery finish. Alcohol is approximately 13.2% ABV.

Best served chilled, Sabroso pairs beautifully with grilled meats, BBQ chicken, mushroom-driven dishes, and semi-hard cheeses. Recent vintages have earned 95 points from Wine Enthusiast and 96 points from Decanter, making this one of the most critically acclaimed value reds from the Central Coast.
