Château Bellefont-Belcier is a Grand Cru Classé red wine from the prestigious Saint-Émilion appellation in Bordeaux, France. The estate dates back to the seventeenth century and was officially established in the mid-eighteenth century by Count Louis François de Belcier, whose name inspired the château's identity. The name "Bellefont" — or Belle Fontaine — translates to "beautiful fountains," a nod to the natural springs that once dotted the property. The château itself was built in 1803 and remains in use today.
The 14-hectare vineyard is situated on Saint-Émilion's south-facing slopes, neighboring prestigious estates such as Château Pavie and Château Larcis-Ducasse. The vines, averaging 35 years of age and planted at a density of 7,200 vines per hectare, produce a blend of approximately 72% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate earned its Grand Cru Classé classification in 2006. This bottle contains 750ml of wine.
