Château Croix Cardinale Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is a distinguished red Bordeaux wine from the Right Bank of Bordeaux, France. The 2022 vintage is produced by Florence and Dominique Decoster, who also own the prestigious Château Fleur Cardinale, and is considered the second wine of that estate. The vineyard spans 4 hectares of clay and limestone soils in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, an estate acquired by the Decoster family in 2011.
The wine is a classic Right Bank Bordeaux blend, led predominantly by Merlot with Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak barrels. It presents a deep garnet-purple color with aromas of dark plum, blackberry, chocolate, and licorice, with nuances of spice and dried florals. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied with vibrant, rounded tannins, excellent freshness, and a long, polished finish. Previous vintages have earned critical scores of 91–93 points from Wine Advocate, James Suckling, Wine Spectator, and Vinous, with strong aging potential. Alcohol content is 14.5% ABV. Contains sulfites. Sold in cases of 6 x 750ml bottles.
Pairs beautifully with beef, lamb, game meats, and hearty stews.
