Château d'Armailhac Grand Cru Classé is a prestigious Fifth Growth (Cinquième Cru) red Bordeaux from the renowned Pauillac appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, France, classified in the historic 1855 Classification. Owned and managed by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild family — the same house behind Mouton Rothschild — it represents one of Pauillac's most elegant and consistent classified growths.
The 2022 vintage is blended from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot, harvested from September 8–27 and matured in 50% new French oak barrels. The wine is produced under sustainable (Agriculture Raisonnée) farming practices. Scoring 93–94/100, it showcases the hallmark density of the 2022 Bordeaux vintage balanced by exceptional freshness and length. The nose opens with pulpy blackberry, violet, cornflower, wild cherry, sweet blond tobacco, and minty spice. On the palate, the wine delivers dark currants, chocolate, black pepper, and espresso, framed by creamy, well-rounded tannins and a long, precise finish.
