Château Larcis Ducasse is a prestigious Right Bank Bordeaux estate located on the Côte de Pavie within Saint-Émilion, France. The estate covers 11.15 hectares and was elevated to Premier Grand Cru Classé status in 2021, placing it among the finest recognized producers in the appellation.

The 2022 vintage is a blend of 86% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc. Following a dry and exceptionally ripe growing season, the wine was raised for 14 months in 40% new oak using a combination of 225-liter barrels, 500-liter barrels, and large foudres, then rested for an additional three months in cement before bottling. The wine carries 14.8% alcohol by volume and a pH of 3.48.

On the nose, the 2022 Larcis Ducasse opens with deep ruby and plum aromas of ripe red and black cherries, smoked tobacco, new leather, truffle, and an intense crushed-stone minerality. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, massively concentrated with a stacked mid-palate, velvety tannins, and a long, saline, mineral-driven finish. Decanter noted its graceful texture and cool, focused blue fruit, while Vinous Media described it as huge and vertical with dark red fruit, new leather, licorice, and mocha.

The 2022 vintage earned 100 points from Jeb Dunnuck and was named #1 in his Top 100 Wines of 2025. It also received 97 points each from James Suckling, Vinous Media, Decanter, and The Wine Independent, and 95 points from Wine Advocate. This is a wine built for the cellar, expected to benefit from 3 to 4 years of additional bottle age and capable of rewarding patience for a decade or more.
