Château Léoville Barton is a prestigious Second Growth (Deuxième Cru Classé) estate from the Saint-Julien appellation in Bordeaux, France. The 2022 vintage is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11.5% Merlot, and 5.5% Cabernet Franc, drawn from a 51-hectare vineyard of predominantly gravel soils over clay subsoil in the Médoc.

The wine is fermented in large traditional 200-hectoliter wooden vats and aged for approximately 20 months in 50% new French oak barrels, following classic Bordeaux winemaking practices. The 2022 offers aromas of luscious blackberries, cassis, black cherries, cigar box, and lead pencil with creamy, beautifully structured tannins and a long, penetrating finish. Alcohol is 14.1% ABV.

The 2022 vintage is considered among the finest of recent years, on par with the highly acclaimed 2019 and 2016 releases. This is a wine built for cellaring, with an optimal drinking window of 2028 through 2060, making it an exceptional candidate for long-term aging or investment.
