Chateau Pichon Baron is a Second Growth (Deuxième Grand Cru Classé) estate located in Pauillac, one of Bordeaux's most prestigious appellations on the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary. This 2022 vintage Grand Vin is a blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Merlot, aged for 16 months in French oak barrels with 70% new oak, followed by two months in wood vats before bottling in June.

The 2022 Pichon Baron opens with fabulous aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, crushed stone, graphite, and lead pencil, with notes of violets and floral accents. On the palate, it is full-bodied and exceptionally elegant, with silky, encompassing tannins described by critics as the finest velvet in texture. The wine shows magnificent balance, tension, and precision, representing one of the most polished and refined expressions of this historic estate.

This vintage benefits from 7 to 8 years of bottle aging from release and is expected to have a cellaring potential exceeding 50 years. Sold as a case of 6 bottles of 750ml each.
