Clos de l'Oratoire is a celebrated Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé estate located on the northeast slope of Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, France. The 2022 vintage is an organic-certified red blend composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, harvested by hand from 35-year-old vines across 13 hectares of clay-limestone and Fronsac molasse terroir.

The wine was fermented in temperature-controlled wooden vats for 27 days using pneumatic pigeage (cap punching), then aged for 15 months on fine lees in oak barrels (30% new). It was château-bottled in May 2024 with no fining, at 14% alcohol by volume. The estate is part of the renowned Neipperg family portfolio.

This wine delivers a deep crimson color with powerful aromas of dark berries, cassis, black raspberries, and leafy herbs, with notes of vine smoke, leather, and blue fruit. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, a sweet fruit core, and a long saline finish. Critics have awarded the 2022 vintage scores ranging from 92 to 96 points. It is best enjoyed from 2026 through 2045.
