Le Haut-Médoc de Giscours is the second wine of the renowned Château Giscours, a classified Margaux estate with origins dating to 1552. This red Bordeaux blend from the Haut-Médoc appellation is the 2022 vintage, presented in a 750ml bottle. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot sourced from the estate's Haut-Médoc parcels, just south of the Margaux appellation boundary.

In the glass it shows an intense ruby to garnet color. The nose opens with notes of black fruit — blackcurrant and blackberry — followed by empyreumatic accents of vanilla and light roasting from oak aging. On the palate the wine is full-bodied with well-integrated oak and hints of sweet spice. With a few years of cellaring, the tannins soften to a silky texture that gives the wine structure and length.

Best served at 17°C with 30 minutes of decanting. Pairs well with charcuterie, lamb, roasted red meats, roasted guinea fowl, and firm mountain cheeses.
