1792 Cognac Cask Finish is a limited-release Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. This expression takes the distillery's signature high-rye bourbon and gives it a second maturation in French cognac casks, adding a layer of rich fruit, honeyed sweetness, and refined elegance to Barton's naturally bold and spicy profile. Each bottle is 750mL and 95 proof (47.5% ABV). Costco limits purchase to one bottle per member.

On the nose, dark fruit-forward notes of figs, raisins, and grape jelly emerge, wrapped in caramel and vanilla with a dusting of cinnamon and toasted oak. The palate is medium-bodied with bursts of grape and stone fruit followed by Barton's signature rye spice, toffee, almond, light honey, and a hint of orange zest. The finish is medium-length with lingering grape skin, caramel, drying oak, and a faint nuttiness. The cognac influence adds distinct depth and is a relatively rare cask-finish style compared to more common port or sherry finishes.
