J. Lohr Carol's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a limited-release, single-vineyard red wine sourced from a 31-acre estate in northern St. Helena along the Napa River. Named in honor of founder Jerry Lohr's late wife, Carol Waldorf Lohr, this wine is crafted entirely from the vineyard's well-drained, gravelly sandy loam soils — ideal conditions for producing richly textured, luxury-quality Cabernet Sauvignon fruit.

The grapes are hand-harvested, sorted using the Pellenc Selectiv system, then fermented using délestage (rack and return) technique with three punchdowns daily to achieve optimal extraction. The wine ages for 18 months in French oak barrels of Bordeaux export type, contributing structure and complexity. Gratifying when enjoyed young, it can age with sophistication for 12 or more years. A $3 donation from every bottle sold supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., funding early detection programs, mammograms, and HOPE Kits for women undergoing breast cancer treatment — a partnership established by the Lohr family in memory of Carol.
