Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne is an iconic French champagne from one of the world's most prestigious houses. This non-vintage brut is crafted from a blend of 50-55% Pinot Noir, 28-33% Chardonnay, and 15-20% Pinot Meunier, sourced from up to 60 different Crus across the Champagne region. The blend includes 30-45% reserve wines aged up to 20 years, ensuring consistent quality and complexity year after year.
The champagne displays a brilliant golden-yellow color with fine, persistent bubbles that form a delicate mousse. On the nose, it presents aromas of yellow and white fruits like pear, apple, and peach, followed by notes of vanilla and freshly baked brioche, a result of the minimum three years of lees aging in historic chalk cellars. The palate delivers crisp flavors of green apple, pear, and citrus with pronounced brioche and toasted almond notes. It is medium-bodied with a creamy, elegant texture and a long, clean finish. Serve well-chilled at 45-50°F for optimal enjoyment.
Pairs exceptionally well with fresh oysters, aged Parmigiano-Reggiano, seafood, and surprisingly, gourmet fried chicken. The house was founded in 1772, and Madame Clicquot revolutionized champagne production by inventing the riddling table in 1816 and creating the first blended rosé champagne in 1818. The iconic Yellow Label was introduced in 1876. 12% alcohol by volume.
