Each bottle is matured in barrels constructed with a high-toast, low-char method inspired by traditional practices, creating a deeper toasted layer before charring. The whiskey is aged in high-elevation barrel houses in Lynchburg, Tennessee and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).

Made from a mashbill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye, this whiskey undergoes the signature Lincoln County Process, being dripped through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before aging. The Heritage Barrel is aged for a minimum of seven years, though individual barrels may vary. Originally released as limited editions in 2018 and 2019, it has now become a permanent addition to Jack Daniel's Single Barrel lineup.

This expression showcases deep flavors of toasted oak, vanilla, and caramel, with notes of honey, candied fruit, and brown sugar, complemented by a smooth, lingering finish.
