The Alexander Valley Vineyards Homestead Red Blend is a rich, approachable red wine from Sonoma County's Alexander Valley appellation, produced by Alexander Valley Vineyards (AVV) — a family winery established in 1962 in Healdsburg, California. The wine celebrates the heritage of Alexander Valley, originally settled in the 1840s by Cyrus Alexander, whose warm days, cool nights, and diverse soils yield world-class fruit.
This medium-bodied blend is crafted from 45% Merlot for rich depth, 34% Zinfandel for pepper and spice, 8% Grenache for bright fruitiness, 6% Mourvèdre for texture, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon for elegant structure, and 2% Syrah for lush berry character. The wine pours a deep, dark purple and opens with complex aromas of black cherry, plum, cassis, blueberry, oak, vanilla, and spice. On the palate, it delivers juicy, spicy fruit flavors of berry, plum, cherry, oak, and vanilla with a long, structured finish. Alcohol content is 14% by volume. Certified sustainable and vegan. Sold as a case of 12 x 750ML bottles.
