Dossier Wine Collective Red Blend is a Bordeaux-style blend from Columbia Valley, Washington, crafted by winemaker Billo Naravane, a Master of Wine. The 2022 vintage is composed of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 10% Malbec, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot, sourced from premier vineyards including Ciel du Cheval, Conner Lee, Kiona, Firethorn, Solaksen, PineBrake, and Stoneridge. The wine was aged for 18 months sur lie in French oak barrels (40% new oak from Troncais, Allier, Vosges, and Nevers cooperages).
The wine presents a deep, lucid purple color with an expressive nose of cassis, huckleberry, black plum, leather, incense, aged cigar tobacco, and gravel-like minerality with subtle violet and wild sage. On the palate it is rich and supple with seamless tannins and lively acidity, offering notes of dark cherry, blackberry, crème de cassis, espresso, dark chocolate, forest floor, and minerality, with an elegantly long finish. It earned 94 points from critic Jeb Dunnuck and is approachable now, with expected peak maturity in 6 to 8 years and a drinking window of 12 or more years.
Dossier Wine Collective was founded in 2021 by Tim Lenihan and Sidney Rice, former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver, with a philosophy centered on luxury Washington wine that emphasizes terroir, elegance, and everyday approachability. The winery has earned scores up to 99 points across its lineup.
