Dossier Wine Collective's Syrah is a distinctive red wine sourced from The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater within the Walla Walla Valley AVA in Washington State. The wine is a blend of 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier, reflecting the hallmark style of this celebrated sub-appellation, which is defined by its ancient cobblestone-rich soils that impart a unique stony minerality to the wines produced there.

The wine is crafted by Master of Wine Billo Naravane, also of Rasa Vineyards, and was founded by Tim Lenihan and former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice. The grapes are cold soaked for 140 hours prior to fermentation with twice-daily punchdowns, then aged sur lie in 50% new French oak, resulting in a richly textured and aromatic wine.

On the nose, expect a complex bouquet of blackberry, huckleberry, gravel, grilled herbs, violets, bacon fat, smoldering incense, and dark chocolate. The palate is lively and well-structured with black plum, raspberry, truffles, nutmeg, anise, white pepper, and stony minerality, finishing with lingering notes of blackberry, violets, and umami-filled minerality.
