Maison Idiart Le Tazonner is a Sauvignon Blanc from the prestigious Sancerre AOC in the Loire Valley of France. Crafted by winemaker Nicolas Idiart, who became the youngest graduate of the Bordeaux winemaking school, this wine showcases the classic character of the appellation.

The grapes are sourced from 30-year-old vines planted in the village of Vinon on chalky limestone soil known locally as "caillotte." The wine is fermented and aged in concrete tanks rather than oak, preserving the varietal's natural aromatic complexity and freshness. Extended aging on fine lees adds texture and roundness to the palate.

On the nose, Le Tazonner opens with expressive aromas of citrus, grapefruit, mint, and white peach. The palate is precise and mineral-driven, with a porcelain-like texture carrying notes of verbena, lemon curd, white peach, and gooseberry through a long, stylish, floral finish. With an alcohol content of approximately 12.5% ABV, this is an elegant, food-friendly white wine that pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, goat cheese, vegetables, and mildly spiced dishes.
