Herradura Blanco is a 100% blue agave tequila crafted by Casa Herradura in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico, following an original recipe dating back to 1870. Bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof), this unaged blanco expression represents one of the oldest tequila recipes in existence, predating the formal recognition of tequila as a category.
The agave is slow-cooked in traditional clay ovens to develop the sugars fully, then undergoes spontaneous fermentation using wild yeasts native to the agave plantations of Amatitán. This terroir-driven process connects each batch to its place of origin. Unlike Herradura Silver, the Blanco remains completely untouched by oak barrels, delivering pure agave character in its most authentic form.
On the nose, fresh and vibrant agave leads with an herbaceous bouquet and bright citrus notes. The palate reveals complex layers of toasted and fresh agave at the core, complemented by herbal undertones, spice, and fresh fruit. The finish is sweet and persistent, making it suitable for sipping as well as cocktails. Each bottle features the iconic horseshoe emblem synonymous with the brand's heritage.
