Patricia Green Cellars Bearwallow Vineyard Pinot Noir is a single-vineyard wine from Oregon's Willamette Valley, one of the premier Pinot Noir producing regions in the world. Patricia Green Cellars works with the largest collection of historic Oregon vineyard sites ever assembled under one winery roof, producing over 30 individual Pinot Noir bottlings annually. Founded in 2000 by Patty Green and Jim Anderson in the Ribbon Ridge AVA, the winery is dedicated to showcasing the unique terroir of each vineyard site.
The Bearwallow Vineyard bottling is fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels with minimal intervention to let the vineyard characteristics shine through. This wine typically displays aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, raspberry, red plum, forest floor, and baking spice, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity. Medium-bodied with an elegant, refined character, it reflects the iron-rich Jory soils and volcanic terroir of the Willamette Valley.
All Patricia Green vineyards are either organically or sustainably farmed using dry-farming techniques to minimize environmental impact. The winery is committed to preserving Oregon's heritage vineyard sites and producing wines that honor the history of Oregon Pinot Noir. Founded by Patty Green (who passed away in 2017) and winemaker Jim Anderson, Patricia Green Cellars continues to be recognized as one of Oregon's most important producers.
