Domaine Bosquet des Papes Chante Le Merle Vieilles Vignes is the flagship cuvée from this historic Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate in the Southern Rhône Valley, France. Produced from a dedicated 3.5-hectare plot of old vines ranging from 70 to 100 years of age, this wine represents the pinnacle of the domaine's production.

The blend is composed of approximately 80% old vine Grenache with 10% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre, though proportions vary slightly by vintage. The vines are planted on classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir of galets (large rounded stones), sand, and clay, which contributes to the wine's depth and complexity.

Bosquet des Papes has been owned by the Boiron family since 1860, spanning six generations of winemaking. The estate originally produced wine under the name Clos Chantemerle beginning in 1936 before adopting the current name in 1966. Chante Le Merle offers a brilliant red robe with violet reflections, an elegant and complex nose, and a palate that is both powerful and refined with silky tannins and exceptional length.
