Château Giscours Vertical Collection presents six exceptional vintages from 2015 through 2020, each 750ML bottle showcasing the evolution of this distinguished Third Growth Margaux estate. This classified 1855 Grand Cru Classé represents one of the finest expressions of Bordeaux winemaking from the prestigious Margaux appellation.
Each vintage in this collection earned critical acclaim. The 2015 vintage received outstanding ratings including 97 points from Wine Enthusiast, 96 from James Suckling, and 94+ from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, praised for its dusty tannins enriched with black-currant fruits, impressive purity, and effortless depth. The 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 vintages are all recognized among the estate's finest years, with 2015 marking a turning point to an entirely new level of quality for Giscours.
The estate's 100-hectare vineyard sits on the magnificent Labarde and Arsac plateau, planted in a single stretch with deep Garonne gravel hilltops that provide exceptional drainage and terroir suited to producing wines of structure and elegance. The blend typically features 55-65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30-44% Merlot with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
Tasting profiles across these vintages reveal firm, dusty tannins, concentrated black-currant and blackberry fruits, violet florals, cedar, pencil lead, and refined elegance characteristic of great Margaux wines. These are age-worthy wines with cellar potential of 8 to 20 years or more for exceptional vintages, combining delicacy and power in perfect balance. The 2015 specifically shows polished, rounded feel with plum and blackberry compote, light charcoal and tobacco notes, and warm tar on the finish, best enjoyed from 2020 through 2035.
