La Final Malbec is a full-bodied Argentine red wine produced by Finca La Anita under the Mendoza Vineyards label. The wine was created as a tribute to Argentina's legendary 1986 FIFA World Cup victory, with members of the championship team collaborating on its production. The iconic label features a black-and-white photograph of the Argentine national team and commemorates the historic final played at the Estadio Azteca on June 29, 1986.
The grapes are sourced from La Carrera within the Tupungato sub-region of the high-altitude Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is aged in French oak barrels to add depth and complexity. It pours a deep, dark red with hints of bordo, and the nose offers intense aromas of ripe red fruits, jam, vanilla, and chocolate. On the palate it delivers a sweet, elegant entry with good concentration, a creamy and silky texture, and well-balanced tannins. ABV: 14โ14.5%.
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled meats, Argentine asado, hearty pasta dishes, and aged cheeses. Finca La Anita is a pioneering Mendoza winery with over 40 years of winemaking heritage.
