Cline Ancient Vine Zinfandel is a premium California red wine crafted from historic vines planted over 100 years ago by Italian and Portuguese immigrants in the sandy, phylloxera-resistant soils of Oakley, California in Contra Costa County. This wine draws from the oldest and shyest-bearing Zinfandel blocks, producing exceptional fruit quality and concentrated flavors.

The 2022 vintage showcases the classic varietal strawberry character that Zinfandel is known for, with rich and juicy aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, cinnamon, potpourri, dried herbs, and vanilla cream on the nose. The palate delivers ripe strawberry-raspberry jam, maple, clove, black peppercorn, with touches of licorice, blueberry, and a mouth-watering finish. Well-balanced and fresh with a touch of raspberry and vanilla, this wine is very drinkable now but will age well for 5-7 years or longer.
