Roseblood d'Estoublon is an elegant Provençal rosé from Château d'Estoublon, one of France's most storied estates established in 1489 in the Alpilles massif. Sourced from the AOP Coteaux Varois en Provence appellation, this wine is crafted from a blend of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, and 5% Rolle, grown on clay-limestone soils with red earth, gravel, and flint at 350–400 meters altitude. The estate farms its 18-hectare vineyard organically alongside 120 hectares of olive groves, reflecting a long-standing commitment to sustainable craftsmanship.
The wine presents a pale, luminous robe with a rosewater hue and hints of peach and melon. The nose opens with floral notes of linden, jasmine, and white flowers, evolving into aromas of raspberry, tangy forest fruits, and vineyard peach. On the palate, it is vibrant and mineral-driven, with bright citrus and tangy red fruit balanced by a salty mineral tension and a refreshing spine of acidity. Production involves direct pressing with cold alcoholic fermentation, followed by aging in stainless steel and concrete vats with extended time on fine lees, yielding a wine that is harmoniously balanced and immensely drinkable. Alcohol content is 12.5% ABV.
The 2023 vintage earned 91 points from Vinous and 90 points from Wine Spectator, which praised its vivid mix of strawberry, melon, and crunchy nectarine flavors with notes of smoke, fresh green herbs, and salty mineral. It pairs beautifully with aperitifs, sesame tuna tataki, garden salads, or spinach ricotta ravioli with fresh basil.
