Delas Freres Saint-Joseph "Francois de Tournon" is a 100% Syrah wine from France's Northern Rhone Valley. The grapes are sourced from the communes of Vion, Saint-Jean de Muzols, Mauves, and Tournon, where vines are planted in terraces on rocky granite hillsides with south and south-east exposure. The soils consist of light schist and gneiss over a granite bedrock.

The grapes are hand-picked at optimum ripeness and fermented in open-topped concrete tanks with a two-day cold maceration. The wine is matured for 10 to 14 months in one- to three-year-old Burgundian oak barrels, with approximately 30% new oak. Part of the cuvee is aged in vats to preserve fruit freshness.

The color is a deep, dark ruby red with garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers delicate aromas of cassis, blackberry, plum, violet, and spice. The palate reveals a smooth, velvety texture with fine and silky tannins, balanced by bright acidity. Notes of black pepper, tobacco, chocolate, and graphite minerality emerge on the long finish. This wine has excellent aging potential and pairs beautifully with red meats, game, spicy stews, and mature cheeses. Alcohol content is 13%. Contains sulfites.
