This Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic Napa Valley blend, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon (94%) with small additions of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. It is aged 18 months in French oak barrels (50% new, 50% neutral), developing remarkable complexity and depth. The wine opens with enticing aromas of black cherry, cassis, crushed violets, and cedar. On the palate, rich flavors of ripe plum, blackberry liqueur, dark chocolate, vanilla, and sandalwood flow across velvety, well-integrated tannins, leading to a long, satisfying finish.
